What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Hub Lead position at Landus?
About the Role
As a Hub Lead, you will oversee an operations team, focusing on team engagement, employee empowerment,
fostering a family-oriented culture, and promoting community involvement, all while keeping Landus farmer owners at the heart of our mission. In this key leadership role, you will drive success by providing strong
leadership, inspiring your team, and achieving operational excellence to maximize business performance.
What will you do?
- Assist with leading and developing the Maintenance, Safety, Inventory and General Operations teams of
designated Hub.
- Drive profitability improvement of assigned area through direct management of respective P&L.
- Responsible for coding and managing invoices throughout the hub and ensuring cost effective operational
procedures are in place
- Promote a sales and growth culture with all employees within the Hub.
- Assist with recruiting and retaining talent, managing performance, developing employees, engaging in
frequent communications, building teams, motivating others, managing vision, managing conflict and
demonstrating values and ethics
- Promote employee empowerment by encouraging employee feedback, input and ideas, and include them
in the decision-making process when possible
- Lead new employee recruitment and hiring at the local level through community relationships, contacts,
and networking.
- Lead in interviews, onboarding and ongoing employee development.
- Be an ambassador for Landus by promoting and assisting Landus One with local community engagement
through projects, initiatives and participation with local schools, associations, community leaders and
businesses
- Assist in meetings with key farmers as requested by Landus One.
- Responsible to increase customer satisfaction through providing customer-first service levels and aligning
sales and operations personnel to set proper service expectation levels.
- Resolve scheduling issues and customer or operations issues lead both strategic planning and tactical
execution of operations and services within assigned area.
- Implement and encourage innovative ideas related to continuous improvement of people, products,
services, and physical plant/equipment.
- Lead the effective and efficient utilization of all resources and assets including personnel, physical plant/equipment and inventory
Effectively lead assigned area with a focus on safety practices, customer focus, quality management, financial manager, asset management, business expertise, planning and execution and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- The ability to obtain the appropriate licenses and endorsements applicable to the location which may include USDA weighing & grading license, handlers license, and Class A CDL with required endorsements and maintain current DOT physical.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and databases.
