How will you have an impact in this role?
We are seeking a motivated individual to be part of the Landus team who will focus on leading an operations team with emphasis on team engagement, employee empowerment, building a family culture and community engagement while positioning Landus farmer-owners at the center of all we do. As a critical business leader, this person will achieve success through strong leadership and motivating through leading their teams vs. managing, to drive operational excellence and maximum business performance.
What would you do?
Lead the service and operations functions of assigned hub area.Drive profitability improvement of assigned area through direct management of the location P&L.Promote a sales and growth culture with all employees within the Business Unit.Effectively lead others by recruiting and retaining talent, managing performance, developing employees, engaging in frequent communications, building teams, motivating others, managing vision, managing conflict and demonstrating values and ethicsPromote employee empowerment by encouraging employee feedback, input and ideas, and including them in the decision-making process when possibleBe an ambassador for Landus by promoting and leading local community engagement through projects, initiatives and participation with local schools, associations, community leaders and businessesLead new employee recruitment and hiring at the local level through community relationships, contacts, and networking, and utilize your HR Business Partner to assist in interviews, onboarding and ongoing employee developmentMaintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customersCoordinate and assist in meetings with key farmers as requested by Landus management team members.Responsible to increase customer satisfaction through providing customer-first service levels and aligning sales and operations personnel in order to set proper service expectation levels, resolve scheduling issues and resolve customer or operations issues Lead both strategic planning and tactical execution of operations and services within assigned area Implement and encourage innovative ideas related to continuous improvement of people, products, services, and physical plant / equipmentLead the effective and efficient utilization of all resources and assets including personnel, physical plant / equipment and inventoryEffectively lead assigned area with a focus on safety practices, customer focus, quality management, financial management, asset management, business expertise, planning and execution and continuous improvementRequirements
The ideal candidate will have :
Must have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to move / lift up to 50 poundsBachelor's degree (agriculture, business or similar discipline preferred) and 10 years in a management position and / or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Good computer skills.Other skills that will help you succeed :
