Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and supporting supply chain operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, conducting root cause analysis for discrepancies, and utilizing data to inform decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track stock movements.
- Collaborate with supply chain management teams to optimize inventory flow and reduce lead times.
- Analyze data related to inventory performance, including turnover rates and stock levels, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers to ensure efficient inventory handling and distribution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management or related fields, preferably within a supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software for effective decision-making.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
