Applicant Notification:	Department Information Our Social Science Division is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach GIS. Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning. This is an application pool posting for 2024-2025. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College's main campus located in Eugene, Oregon. Required QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:	A Master's degree in Geography or a Master's in a related field, from a regionally accredited institution. Required Experience:	Demonstrated experience with data collection, data analysis, and mapping in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Desktop, and related data analytic and mapping programs.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education	A Master's degree in Geospatial Science. Bachelor's degree in Geography or Geospatial Science with a Master's in a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Experience	Experience using ArcGIS Pro and other related geospatial software. Experience with data collection and analysis methods. Experience troubleshooting basic software and hardware problems.

Position Purpose:	To teach GIS courses: Digital Earth, GIS 1, and GIS 2 . Participate in division and other professional activities. Teach in a learning environment that puts students first. This may also include online courses.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:	This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work safely.
