About the Position
Lane County Road Maintenance is looking to fill two 6-months seasonal positions on its Zone 1 and Bridge Projects Crews in Eugene.
About the Division
The Road Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the County transportation system including some state highways and city streets under contract with Lane County. Although the majority of equipment and employees in Road Maintenance are based at the Delta Complex, satellite shops are located near Cottage Grove, Dexter, Veneta, and Florence. A crew and equipment are assigned to each Road Maintenance Zone. The Bridge Projects Crew, Sign Shop Crew and Vegetation Crew are headquartered at Delta and work throughout the County.Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Overtime and/or shift changes required per operational needs.

*This position is budgeted for a maximum of 1,040 hours during the fiscal year.*
Training:- Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- One year of experience in the operation of light equipment or performing unskilled or semi-skilled tasks.
- or an equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license at time of hire.
- The selected applicants for these positions are required pass a background check.
