Job Summary:
Lane Enterprises, LLC is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our production facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of production processes, and the ability to implement and improve operational efficiency. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production goals are met.
- Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are consistently met.
- Oversee production workflow, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, ensuring adequate stock for production.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve any operational challenges promptly.
- Train, mentor, and develop production employees to improve skills, performance, and team efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including work instructions, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Collaborate with other departments, including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
- Track and report on production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste reduction.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help drive Lean or Six Sigma initiatives within the production environment.
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of production systems, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Experience with continuous improvement practices such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff at all levels.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
- Ability to withstand varying temperatures.
- Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
- Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
