Job Details
Lane Forest Products with over 200 employees, is growing and seeking a Retail Assistant Manager. This fast-paced position is responsible for assisting and directing all retail operational tasks with the main focus on customer service. This is an all-weather indoor/outdoor position dealing with customers who are very happy to work in their garden with our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist with all retail yard day -to-day activities and sales activities
•Maintain a professional and authentically friendly environment with customers, subordinates and supervisors
•Operate /understand POS computer system
•Ensure that all employees are providing high levels of service to customers
•Responsible for employee development and growth, staff training
•Assist in the management of retail sales and merchandising to drive sales
•Inventory management
•Review and print daily reports as required
•Prepare schedules for retail yard staff
•Operate equipment as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
•2 years leadership experience required
•Working knowledge of inventory management
•Landscape experience preferred
•Ability to calculate square footage and cubic yardage
•Point of Sale or Counterpoint experience and Microsoft Office required
•Able to lift 50 pounds of weight
