Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including hospital medicine, internal medicine, and urgent care, and will be comfortable working in both inpatient and outpatient capacities.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient use.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with coding for billing purposes.
• Provide support in emergency medicine situations as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care within the clinic or hospital setting.

• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of internal medicine practices.
• Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center protocols is preferred.

• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
