PRICING / BUDGETING SPECIALIST
Position Summary:
Lane Office, a leading New York based office furniture dealer and interior subcontracting firm, is expanding its team and seeks a Pricing / Budgeting Specialist. The successful candidate will join a fast paced and dynamic team and work cross functionally with internal partners and management to ensure budgets accurately reflect project scope and deadlines and will be part of a collaborative culture.
To be considered for this position you should have 1 - 2 years relevant experience, understanding of standard industry software and strong communication skills. Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and take ownership of your work are a must.
Essential duties and responsibilities Including but not limited to:
- Oversees pricing on projects from start to finish.
- Ensures project scope and specific deliverables are understood by all parties involved and maintained through to project completion.
- Publish project schedule to the external and internal team, and track progress on a weekly basis.
- Identify and report variances to budget or proposal and make adjustments as necessary.
- Research alternate products, based on budget parameters and suggest alternatives.
- Attend and participate in weekly team meetings to discuss project statuses.
- Prepare bid documents to be shared with client and internal project team.
- Assume complete responsibility for assignments and be accountable for all information published.
- Be able to communicate and present strongly to the Executive level team within an organization.
- Maintain flexible work hours and be responsive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Attend all team and project meetings.
- Manage multiple projects in various stages.
- Be detail oriented, organized, and have a ‘will do’ attitude.
- Contract furniture industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrate an understanding of team member responsibilities and be willing to ‘jump in’ when needed.
- Respond to, and be available, for all client and team requests.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and professional work ethic.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
- Core and CAP experience a plus.
