DUMP TRUCK DRIVER
Laney Construction Materials LLC. is an established, successful asphalt plant in Woodbine, MD, looking to hire a professional Dump Truck Driver to join their team.
The Driver’s primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of a dump truck to load/unload and transport aggregate material such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and bituminous paving materials to and from various quarries and our asphalt plant to customers throughout the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Valid CDL – Class B Driver’s license with a good driving record (License must be in the State of residence)
- Must maintain a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to perform and have acknowledged all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and Company policies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip, making sure the truck is in safe conditions
- Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions
- Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations
- Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to drive up to 12 hours a day
- Walk, bend, kneel, and twist
- Talk and hear
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds on occasions
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid CDL – Class B Driver’s (License must be the State of residence)
- Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of Dump Truck experience preferred for hauling various aggregate materials, including asphalt.
