What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at Lang Masonry Contractors?
PRIMARY PURPOSE
A Project Manager (PM) provides over-all administrative and technical direction for multiple projects. This is done within the boundaries established by the company policies, contract, plans, and specs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize Safety, Quality, and Production by following and enforcing all company standards, systems, and policies.
- Manage all aspects of projects, including cost, schedule, customer relationships, and employee mentorship.
- Review and negotiate all project contracts against estimates/proposals.
- Review and approve invoices on a daily/weekly basis.
- Collaborate with the team to build initial budgets, schedules, and logistics plans based on estimates.
- Continuously review and update project budgets, job cost reports, project schedules, and financial forecasts.
- Work closely with the project team to review and address changes as necessary.
- Create schedules of values and submit pay applications monthly capturing any applicable Change Orders.
- Responsible for document management including submittals, RFI’s, change documents, and project issues.
- Attend project meetings and maintain customer relationships.
- Oversee Safety & Quality Checklists and conduct monthly Safety & Quality Focus walks on projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Field experience is preferred, but not required.
- Commercial construction experience and excellent math skills are required.
- Must be able to organize and plan effectively using technology.
- Strong leadership skills.
