Personal Attendant/Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to a 42 year old man. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for this man living with disabilities ( due to a rare genetic condition called Wilson Disease), ensuring his comfort, safety, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities, all while fostering a nurturing environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities as needed.
• Monitor and document patient observations including vital signs and changes in health status.
• Provide companionship and engage client in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Assist when necessary to help client move safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for client by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with client, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs.

Requirements

• Must be reliable and prompt.
• Must provide 3 non family references who are willing to talk about potential employee.
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions promptly.
• Ability to assist client to move safely.
• Must be flexible as client condition and needs may change.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor towards client.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or other nursing qualificationare not required, although knowledge of Heimlich maneuver is desired.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
