About the role:
We’re looking to add a frontend engineer to our team. In-person in SF preferred. Primary responsibilities will be to enhance and develop features for LangSmith, our platform for LLM application observability, testing, and debugging. The role will require:
- Develop new user-facing features using React.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with team members, including back-end developers and UX/UI designers, to improve usability.
- Write clean, scalable, and documented code.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them into day-to-day work.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3 years of experience in front-end engineering
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- A deep understanding of React and its core principles
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JWTs
- Hands-on experience with front-end development tools like Babel, Vite, Webpack, NPM, and Yarn
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- A passion for product design and building beautiful, intuitive interfaces
- Familiarity with git for version control
- Have strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Can thrive in a fast-moving environment. Views unstructured environments as an opportunity to figure out the most impactful work and define the future success of the company

- Competitive salary and equity stake for role and stage of company. Commensurate with experience.
- Annual salary range: $135,000-$185,000 USD
