Lange Companies is currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Team.

In this position we are seeking an organized and self-motivated Staff Accountant to help support the needs of the Company while working closely with the other members of the accounting team. In this role you will assist with bank reconciliations, wire and ACH payment processing, positive pay management, month-end processing, year-end journal entries and financial statements.

Responsibilities :

• Bank Reconciliations : Complete monthly bank reconciliations as assigned; identify and research problems; contact appropriate office to get problems corrected.
• Payment Processing : Assist with bi-weekly check runs, ACH payment processing, and wire processing as needed. Assist with ACH vendor verification and set up. Maintain a complete record of all transactions.
• Positive Pay : Prepare daily Positive Pay issue file and transmit to bank; research and clear positive pay exceptions.
• Month-end Processes : Assist with month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries; reconcile suspense and other accounts as needed; research and correct unusual variances
• BNA Fixed Assets : Input new fixed asset items as purchased; on a quarterly basis, print fixed asset report and verify balances agree with the ledger; on an annual basis, review entire fixed asset inventory and remove items no longer in use. Print year-end reports.
• Year-end duties : Assist with preparation of year-end audit and tax workpapers and journal entries as assigned.
• Special Projects : Assist with various special projects as needed; assist with various projects related to the Famous ERP conversion including data scrubbing, testing, system set-up and maintenance, and researching issues.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Salary : $58,000 - $65,000
