Commonwealth Primary Care (CPC) is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and innovative leader to serve as its Executive Director. CPC is a physician-owned practice comprised of 41 Board-Certified Primary Care Physicians and 15 Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, serving patients across eight office locations throughout the Richmond metropolitan area. Established in 2002, CPC was founded on the vision of providing comprehensive, patient-centered, and high-quality primary care with a strong infrastructure to support the health and wellness of families in the most efficient, accessible, and technologically advanced way possible.
This is a rare leadership opportunity to guide a well-established, highly respected practice known for its clinical excellence and commitment to whole-person care. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the fiscal and operational success of the organization, identifying growth opportunities, and forging strategic partnerships to further enhance CPCs mission.
Working closely with the Board of Directors and Shareholders, the Executive Director will play a critical role in shaping the future vision and strategic direction of the practice. Some of your key duties will include but are not limited to :
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to all facets of the practice including Clinical Operations, Business Services, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Compliance. Provide direction and guidance in day to day administrative matters.
- Provide leadership to the Board of Directors in developing and implementing an effective strategic plan.
- Measure companywide performance against target goals and objectives and provide regular status reports to the Board of Directors.
- Select, motivate and lead key administrative personnel, including Director of Operations, Director of Finance, Director of IT, Business Office Director and Human Resource Director.
- Examine, develop, and recommend new business opportunities, partnerships and strategic alliances in support of the strategic plan and short / long term objectives.
- Strengthen relationships with payers, vendors, and referring providers to optimize practice success.
- Facilitate the hiring of new employed physicians and the transition of new physician shareholders.
- Inform Board of Directors of current trends and problems to facilitate policy making.
- Manage and negotiate all professional service contracts, office leases and major equipment acquisitions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and healthcare regulations.
EDUCATION : MHA, or MBA, or MS in health administration or business administration preferred.
