The Operations Manager will lead Inbound and Outbound operations of our warehouse and distribution life science facility, acting as the primary face to the customer. This position defines the work environment, sets goals and standards, and ensures compliance with Langham Life Sciences Logistics and client standards. This position manages Warehouse supervisory personnel supporting the operations and is accountable for all operational, financial, and customer satisfaction performance of the operations.
The Operations Manager contributes to meeting Langham’s revenue goals around temperature (temp) controlled warehousing with exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, and profitability by meeting individual revenue goals through business development efforts. The Operations Manager works directly with the Sr. Operations Manager to further identify methods of process improvement and supporting LEAN activities.

Oversees Productivity Indicators
- Provide leadership to Inbound and Outbound operations of the facility. Manage all metrics and other benchmark measures to track performance.
- Manage operational strategy to achieve financial, quality and supply performance according to defined customer expectation targets.
- Work with Sr. Operations Manager to identify areas of process improvement for greater efficiency and productivity.
- Display adherence to all security guidelines as mandated by the TSA, Homeland Security, and various customers.
- Determines prioritization of work to support the client’s forecasts / order volumes.
- Ensure work is performed by team members in accordance with all Langham policies and procedures.
- Ensure departmental adherence to budget and budgetary restraints, ability to manage budgets.
Maintains Customer Expectations
Serves as the point of contact for client requests and represents Langham Logistics at customer meetings and quarterly business reviews to provide information and updates on productivity and performance of the operations.Responsible for managing daily and weekly calls / reports to the customerContinually monitor KPIs of Inbound and Outbound operations and adjust priorities and resource allocation accordingly to fulfil customer supply chain demands.Facilitates exceptional response to routine and non-routine client requests for data, fulfilment, reporting, customer service support, problem resolution / investigations, and other operational or quality initiatives.Leads and Develops Others

Demonstrated experience leading warehouse and distribution inbound and outbound operationsDemonstrated experience with operational customer supportDemonstrated ability to read and interpret financial statements. B.S. / B.A. in supply chain management, business or related discipline.8-10 years of operations management experience in a warehousing, logistics / distribution, and / or supply chain environment.Experience in temperature-controlled or highly regulated environment.Dangerous Goods / Hazardous Materials Certification preferred .Certified Designated Representative (CDR) licensure is desired.Physical Demands and Work Environment : Must be able to work proficiently with computers and other office equipment. Travel as needed. Work is performed in office and warehouse environments with varying temperatures throughout the facility.
