Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and monitors all daily operations of Title company with consideration for providing excellent customer service.
- Completes all administrative tasks associated with managing staff including performance reviews, counseling, coaching, time off, and timesheet approvals.
- Markets the company to Attorneys, Realtors, and lenders to build multiple sources of revenue.
- Develops, coaches, and trains member of the department for continuous assessment and calibration to ensure performance expectations are met and proper staffing levels are maintained.
- Maintains and develops key performance indicators to measure performance.
- Orders and reviews title searches.
- Prepares commitments, title policies, and monthly underwriter reports.
- Ensures the proper recordation and release of documents occurs.
- Ensures title exceptions are cleared.
- Approves all loans for closure or declination.
- Provides lender with required closing documentation.
- Oversees the accurate distribution of closing funds in the timeframe set by federal regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Business Management, or another related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Minimum of three years working as a licensed Virginia title insurance underwriter required.
- Current good standing with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance required.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred.
