Assists Market Directors in providing leadership across the branch network and as a mentor and role model to other Branch Managers including on-site training and development. Assumes overall responsibility for growing the business of the assigned branch or branches and helping Langley achieve success. Effectively manages the members' demands, including defining effectiveness and success for teammates, targeting resources to ensure success, and reviewing if actions are relevant and effective to the organization's overall goals. Leads staff and utilizes resources to provide members of Langley with impeccable service. Trains staff to use consultative selling to offer financial products and services that meet or exceed members’ needs. Provides Branch Services Staff with ongoing individual coaching to support their continued development. Develops new business for Langley through community outreach and networking.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Creates strategic initiatives to grow market share of loans and deposits.
- Represents Branch Services on complex organizational and departmental projects.
- Oversees the entire branch operation to achieve or maintain status as a high-production branch of Langley.
- Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff, including peers, providing on-site training.
- Provides guidance, direction, and assistance in the absence of the Market Director for any branch of Langley.
- Conducts business development activities that help form and expand member relationships.
- Represents Langley in the community at civic and professional events.
- Drives branch results that align with achieving Success-Sharing goals through planning and implementing specific activities to drive growth.
- Supports and coaches the sales and service culture by providing individual and team coaching weekly and monthly, including huddles and Team meetings.
- Supervises operational and administrative activities, including payroll, scheduling, balancing, opening, and closing.
- Deliver ongoing feedback on staff performance and development.
- Foster teamwork by professionally interacting with peers, supervisors, and other Langley employees.
- Actively participate in cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective and efficient communication.
- Participates in ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures to ensure the member experience is always met at the highest possible levels.
- Assists in developing and implementing cross-departmental initiatives to improve efficiencies and processes throughout the credit union.
- Processes new accounts, additional share types, and IRAs following policies to ensure compliance with BSA and US Patriots Act laws.
- Processes consumer loan products and services, including personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
- Process all types of transactions for members, including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account opening, and all other requests.
- Complies with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to work at other branch locations as needed.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, four years of experience in a financial institution, or sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Four years of financial institution experience required.
- Six years of supervisory experience required.
