About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Indirect Procurement & Software to lead a high-impact function managing $1.2 billion in indirect spend across contract services, HR, real estate, IT services, and software.
This is a pivotal role, driving net cost reductions (not just cost avoidance) and delivering real P&L impact through strategic procurement and sourcing excellence.
With 30-35 indirect reports and 3 direct (with plans to expand under the new hire’s leadership), this individual will play a critical role in transforming procurement capabilities, processes, tools, and systems while developing the team’s strategic competencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive net cost reduction strategies across indirect categories, ensuring clear P&L impact.
- Lead the continued procurement transformation, optimizing people, processes, and systems.
- Assess and develop team capabilities, supporting those who require additional strategic guidance.
- Build and implement sourcing strategies for an untapped indirect spend category to drive efficiencies and savings.
- Engage and influence C-suite stakeholders (CTO, CIO, CFO, Director of Sales & Operations) to align procurement objectives with business goals.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships, balancing well-established partnerships while also building credibility and impact in more challenging areas.
- Provide strategic oversight on contract negotiations, supplier management, and risk mitigation across key indirect categories.
