Job Summary:
As a Commercial Door Installation and Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling to various commercial job sites and construction job sites to provide exceptional installation and maintenance services for commercial doors. You will interact directly with customers and ensure their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will interact with customers daily, and having patient and respectful behavior is a must.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to install, service, troubleshoot, replacing and repairing commercial doors and related hardware according to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Ability to work on various types of doors and door hardware including but not limited to entrance doors, door hardware, gates, overhead doors, storefront doors, automatic doors while meeting the customer’s needs and expectations.
- Ability to install doors and hardware on a wide range of commercial entry/exit doors and warehouse doors in multi-family construction environments, commercial properties, hospitals, healthcare facilities, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, industrial environments, and other types of commercial environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with existing door systems, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer’s business operations.
- Travel to multiple job sites in a scheduled day, handling diverse installation and service tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and deliver high-quality service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment
- Ability to efficiently repair, adjust, replace, and troubleshoot issues with entry/exit doors and overhead doors with associated hardware.
- Communicates progress and challenges with the support team throughout the installation and repair process.
- Safety is top of mind and always performs work in a safe manner.
- Documents job notes according to the Company’s Work Order policy, meeting or exceeding expectations and standards.
- Honest and thorough documentation of all paperwork is a requirement while maintaining Company confidentiality policies and standards.
- Maintains a positive attendance record in accordance with jobs that are schedule to be completed.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful customer service.
- General knowledge of electronics, components, and devices.
- Collaborates with various departments, team members, and works well with other trades and reports to Operations Manager
- Takes initiative by communicating, planning, and organizing work in an efficient manner
- Committed to aligning tasks and goals with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values
- Ability to work the on-call rotation
- Ability to work in various temperatures and working conditions
- Performs other duties when assigned in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to prioritize and provide important details to others as directed
- At least 3-5 years of experience in commercial door installation and troubleshooting preferred with service technician experience
- Proven positive attendance record, extremely reliable
- OSHA 10 Certification, preferred
- Must be able to pass a background and driver’s license (MVR) check
- Must possess a valid and clear Arizona Driver’s license
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Professional in appearance and presentation, abiding all Personal Protective Equipment standards and Company’s Uniform Policy
- Ability to be an effective team member through strong productivity skills while assisting team members
- May be required to work overtime without advance notice and must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Maintain Company property in good working order while taking precautions to ensure safety and security of the property
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
- Frequent lifting and/or carry up to 65 pounds and push up to 100 pounds
- Will be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others
- Must be able to maintain visual acuity and alertness for long periods of time including long periods of driving a motor vehicle
- Provide your own basic hand tools per the Company standards
