Job Summary
The Sherman Lewis School of Agriculture and Applied Science seek applications to support broad areas of lnformation Technology (IT). The successful candidate will have at least a BS degree (master's degree preferred) in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, relevant IT certifications, and a minimum of 2 years in a similar role. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in AI modeling, data collection, remote data retrieval and software monitoring using Virtual Network Computing (VNC). The following areas are also important: analytics, cybersecurity, programming languages, MS Office Applications, online learning platforms and broad technical capabilities related to computers, research laboratory diagnostic and general IT equipment.
The candidate will work under the direction of the Dean and Director of Land-Grant Programs (with a dotted line to LU-IT Office) to set up and maintains computer and communication systems, related peripheral equipment and software applications in the execution of agricultural research and extension activities. He/she will serve as the primary technical support resource in the upkeep and maintenance of lab related computer network and diagnostic equipment. Additional faculty/staff responsibilities include academic advising and curriculum development, as well as technical support in computer hardware, network and software applications.

Required: Candidates should have at least a BS degree (master's degree preferred) in computer science, computer information systems or engineering, with relevant IT certifications.
A minimum of 2 years in a similar IT role.
Preferred: Relevant professional experience, proficiency with multiple programming languages and writing code, familiarity with a range of hardware and software products, ability to design, operate and maintain technology products, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Support and assist in administering and manageing SL/SAAS web servers , online certification courses, and website/s.
Support the technical capabilities of SL/SAAS Agribusiness Analytics and Financial Resource Center (AFRC).
Collect, organize and maintain SL/SAAS and CEOP research and Extension Data.
