In-person ESL Instructor (English as a Second Language) in Sturbridge, MA 01566
This assignment is for in-person English classes. Language Connections is looking for a creative, engaging, talented, and experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor for our corporate classes in Sturbridge, MA for part-time employment starting in March 2025 for morning teaching assignments.
SCHEDULE: Once a week: Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:00pm
LOCATION: Sturbridge, MA 01566
LEVEL: Beginner and/or Pre-intermediate
STARTING DATE: March 2025
Skills and requirements:
- Bachelor's degree;
- TEFL/TESOL Certificate;
- Proficient English speaker and proficient Spanish speaker
- minimum 5 years of ESL teaching experience;
- strong communication and organizational abilities;
- detail-oriented, creative, dynamic, patient, and positive;
- familiar with different language teaching methods and ESL textbooks;
- familiar with MS Word and MS Excel
- experience living abroad and learning a second language is a plus
Main responsibilities:
- Teach ESL classes and monitor students’ progress;
- Submit regular progress reports in MS Word or MS Excel ;
- Prepare classes and implement lesson plans;
- Assign and correct homework and tests;
- Assist in the process of curriculum review and development
