- Days: Monday-Thursday
- Hours: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Position Overview:
Language Lab Academy is seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to join our after-school Spanish program at Carroll ISD, serving students in grades 1-4. In this role, you will create an engaging and interactive learning environment that promotes the development of essential Spanish language skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Language Instruction: Deliver foundational Spanish speaking, reading, and writing skills to students in Kindergarten through dynamic and interactive teaching methods.
- Lesson Implementation: Utilize provided lesson plans and instructional materials to design effective classes that encourage active participation and foster a love for language learning.
- Grading: Use the Canvas learning management system to track student progress, assign grades, and provide constructive feedback.
- Classroom Environment: Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere where students feel empowered to engage and learn.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess student performance and adjust instruction as necessary to support their development in Spanish language proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish: Strong proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
- Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for working with young learners and facilitating their success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively connect with students and their families.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system for grading and tracking student progress.
- Certification: Teaching certification is not required, but relevant experience is preferred.
