What are the responsibilities and job description for the English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher position at language school?
Amlotus Language School is an established language school in Manhattan, NY. We are currently looking for weekend and evening position:
Schedule Needed ( Weekend )
- Saturday AND Sunday: 9:00AM - 6:30PM
Schedule Needed ( Evening)
- Monday - Thursday 5:30pm - 9:00pm, Friday 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Requirements
Instructors who pursue to teach courses at ESL level 1 to 5:
1. Bachelor’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher
2. If the bachelor’s degree is not ESL/EFL or TESOL, TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
3. BPSS license (preferred) – if you are qualified, we will help you get the BPSS license or permit.
4. Minimum 1-year ESL teaching experience in a postsecondary institution
5. Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
6. Successful commitment of ESL demon lesson (20 minutes video)
Instructors who pursue to teach courses at ESL level 6 and/or advanced writing courses at level 5:
1. Master’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher
2. If the Master’s degree is not ESL/EFL or TESOL, TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
3. BPSS license (preferred) – if you are qualified, we will help you get the BPSS license or permit.
4. Minimum 1-year ESL teaching experience in a postsecondary institution
5. Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
6. Successful commitment of ESL demon lesson (20 minutes video)
