What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Lanie's Cafe?
We are looking for experienced Restaurant Servers to join our team as some of our team members are beginning new endeavors in their lives. Our servers are required to take and deliver orders using large carrying trays. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders and serving those food and beverage items. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions and/or make recommendations for guests
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff to ensure great service all the way around
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Maintain restaurant upkeep and cleanliness throughout your shift
Qualifications
- Proven restaurant experience with a focus on serving and customer service
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling transactions
- Strong food/beverage handling and safety knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast
- Excellent people skills, time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards
Job Type: Full-time - open availability is preferred as we are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
Pay: From $10.35 per hour plus tips
