SUMMARY
Bartenders keep the drinks and conversations flowing by mixing the perfect cocktails, serving the coldest beers and accurately paring wine. Keep the bar stocked and clean while providing the best possible service. Create a safe and energetic atmosphere for our guests and teammates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promptly greet every guest with a warm and friendly smile.
- Follow recipes for our signature drinks.
- Enforcing state and/or our alcohol guidelines.
- Collect proper payment for each check.
- Ensure that proper alcohol measurements are utilized in accordance with restaurant rules for mixing drinks.
- Maintain bar cleanliness.
- Be knowledgeable about the Legacy Lodge and Islands.
- Able to work days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
- Thank the guests as they leave and invite them back.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Works with a high sense of urgency at all times.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Full Service Bar experience is required
- Alcohol Safety Training/TIPS/or other accredited program
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to comprehend and communicate either verbal in English or non-verbal methods.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
