SUMMARY
The Greenskeeper II performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance, loves to work outdoors, is highly motivated, and detail-oriented. In this role, the Greenskeeper II will play a key part in creating a world-class golfing experience for our guests and will perform routine labor involved in golf maintenance, construction, and related work. They will be working closely with different members of our team, so quick thinking and an engaging attitude will be core abilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates powered mowing equipment and small hand tools
- Course set-up
- Performs all the following tasks, including but not limited to, mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, raking bunkers, weed eating, fly mowing, edging, sweeping, backpack blowing, shoveling, trimming and hauling plant material
- Removes and lays sod, seeds, fertilizers, and top dresses
- Assists with construction projects requiring manual labor
- Maintains knowledge of golf course irrigation
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of experience in golf maintenance
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory MVR for 3 years
