SUMMARY
The Valet and Bell Stand Attendant is responsible for assisting guests with their vehicles, luggage, and transportation needs, while ensuring excellent guest service. Duties include parking and retrieving vehicles, helping with luggage handling, and providing directions and local information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Valet Duties:
- Promptly greet guests with a welcoming message.
- Open vehicle doors for guests and assist with luggage and personal items.
- Safely drive vehicles to designated parking areas and record parking details.
- Safely store guests’ keys in designated locations and retrieve vehicles upon guest request.
- Direct traffic in valet and parking areas and assist guests in securing taxis or rideshare vehicles.
- Provide directions and answer guests' questions regarding local attractions or hotel amenities.
Bell Stand Duties:
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
- Transport luggage to and from guest rooms efficiently and securely.
- Organize and store guest luggage in the bell stand area as needed, ensuring accuracy with tags.
- Deliver packages, messages, or other items to guest rooms or departments.
- Provide concierge assistance such as restaurant recommendations and reservations when required.
- Ensure the bell stand and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
- A minimum of 18 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean MVR for three years.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently lift and move luggage, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling are routine parts of this role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment involves frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, as well as interactions in a fast-paced and customer-facing setting.
