Asphalt Foreman

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asphalt Forman to oversee paving projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of blacktop construction processes, and the ability to effectively manage teams. This role is crucial in maintaining safety protocols and ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, managing laborers and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution.
• Implement effective communication strategies among team members to facilitate collaboration and problem-solving.
• Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work as needed during construction tasks.
• Manage materials and equipment on-site, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
• Assist in construction estimating by providing insights based on project requirements and scope.

Experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the Asphalt industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes to maintain high standards of work.
• Experience in reading schematics and understanding technical drawings is preferred.
• Ability to build effective teams through strong leadership skills and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Previous experience with construction estimating will be considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
