The role of the Retail Greenhouse Sales Associate is to assist the Greenhouse team with plant care and sales for annuals, tropicals, and houseplants. The qualified candidate has experience working in a garden center, interest in learning more about plants, and great customer service skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge of or interest in learning more about plants, plant care and/or landscaping
- Ability to work in a greenhouse environment and an outdoor environment in zone 5 weather conditions
- Must be a self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible with schedule; ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to multitask, ability work independently or as team
- Work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Physical capacity to work in greenhouse temperature conditions
Responsibilities
- Plant care support for greenhouse plants including annuals, tropicals, houseplants
- Greeting customers, team members, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Anticipation of customer inquiries and routing inquiries to plant experts and leadership teams as needed
- Creating a friendly and welcoming shopping center
- Assistance with merchandise and plant displays; assistance with re-stocking
- Assistance with monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the Greenhouse
- Assistance with varieties of projects with the greenhouse, nursery, and shopping center
