Lantech Communications, LLC is a leading construction and utility installation service provider located in Chicago, IL. We are currently seeking an experienced Field Supervisor for our COAX splicing team to help us deliver excellence in our network projects!
Position: Field Supervisor.
Location:
- Based in Elk Grove Village, IL.
- Travel required for various projects (80% in the field, 20% in the office).
Type:
- Contract (1099 Position).
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly or project-based rate, negotiable based on experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Cable Lineman with a solid background in cable splicing.
- In-depth knowledge of cable infrastructure and HFC networks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of up to 10 people.
- Proficiency in using Excel and Adobe for basic reporting and administrative tasks.
- High time management and organizational abilities to balance field and office responsibilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and lead a team of up to 10 technicians.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and splicing of COAX cables.
- Manage field operations, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and on-time project delivery.
- Ensure safety compliance and operational standards during field activities.
- Use basic Excel and Adobe tools to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
- Split your time: 80% in the field overseeing projects and 20% in the office managing documentation and planning.
