Lantech Communications, LLC is a leading construction and utility installation service provider, dedicated to setting the standard for quality and efficiency in the telecommunications industry. As part of our continued expansion, we are launching a Data Center Installation Department, and seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee these critical projects.
As a part of our amazing team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management capabilities to deliver high-quality installations while managing resources, budgets, and client expectations.
The Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations and collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Full-time, Monday through Friday.
- In-house (Elk Grove Village, IL), travel required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management within data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or utility installation.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, electrical systems, and network integration.
- Proficiency in task management tools is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee data center deployment from planning and design to full operational readiness. Ensure efficient installation of power, cooling, networking, and server infrastructure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for data center installations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with data center infrastructure standards, including structured cabling, power systems, cooling, and network integration.
- Work closely with engineers, field supervisors, and technicians to ensure high-quality installations and adherence to best practices.
- Stay informed on industry advancements in data center technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including in-house personnel and subcontractors, to ensure smooth execution of installation projects. Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and foster a high-performance culture among team members.
- Conduct regular project meetings, track progress, and resolve any operational challenges that may arise.
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining Lantech Communications' reputation for excellence.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies throughout all phases of installation. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Quality and Safety team to implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize resource allocation, including workforce, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity.
