Responsibilities
- Assists in the hiring and training of dock staff.
- Assists in the unloading and loading of freight when necessary.
- Oversee and lead a team of Dock Associates (freight sorting handlers).
- Oversee dock operations to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight.
- Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and internal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Assist with development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform conflict and issue resolution management as needed
- Manage daily end-of-shift reports, as well as performance updates
- Work directly with Customer, on-site
- Performs other related duties as assigned
