Provider Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Provider Support Specialist to join our Claims and Provider Services team. You will play a key role in ensuring our healthcare providers receive the best possible service. You will primarily be responsible for communicating with providers over the phone and by email to assist with medical claims, identify claim statuses, audit claims in real-time for accuracy and completeness, and work diligently to resolve any issues or blockers you may find. Your ability to provide clear, timely, and effective solutions will directly contribute to the overall satisfaction of our providers, who are essential to the success of our operations.

All Provider Support Specialist schedules are Monday-Friday.

  • 7 : 00AM-4 : 00PM
  • 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM
  • 8 : 30AM-5 : 30PM
  • Location : Dallas, TX - 100% Onsite

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Provider Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers regarding the status of medical claims, addressing inquiries and providing status updates via phone and email.
  • Status Identification : Review claim statuses to ensure accuracy and identify any potential blockers or delays in the claims process.
  • Issue Resolution : Proactively remove obstacles and resolve any issues preventing timely claim processing by working closely with internal teams and providers.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all provider interactions and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or team for further resolution.
  • Customer Focus : Consistently deliver a high level of service to providers, ensuring they receive timely, accurate, and efficient support in all interactions.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams such as claims processing, billing, and technical support to address provider concerns and resolve issues effectively.
  • Process Improvement : Identify trends in provider concerns or blockers and work with management to suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and provider satisfaction.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Healthcare Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the healthcare or medical claims environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, concise, and friendly manner
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with medical claims management software
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to maintain professionalism in all provider interactions
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in medical claims billing and familiarity with Medicare claims reimbursement pricing
  • Certification in medical claims coding, e.g. Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS), Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CMBCS)
