The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and meal times.Prepare dish room / area.Clear, wash, and sanitize dishes and utensils.Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.Break down the kitchen for clean up.Perform sanitation clean up of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empties trash.Complete general cleanup of the dish room, kitchen, and dining areas.Make resident satisfaction the number one priority.Serves residents in the dining room(s), as needed.Cooperate to get work done.Flexible with daily schedule.Follow standards for time and attendance.Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, and visitors.Per State of California regulations, as a "mandated reporter," you must report all known or suspected incidents of resident abuse of dependent adults or elders.Provide support to the community's marketing efforts through positive / friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.Qualifications & Requirements
Age Requirement : Must be at least 18 years of age.Education : High school education or equivalent.Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmeticAbility to understand measurements and conversionsAbility to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standardsKnowledge of kitchen equipmentFlexibility with schedule, including the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidaysReasoning Skills : Ability to make independent decisions with work without supervision.Oral / Written Communication Skills : Ability to interact tactfully with residents and family members, staff, and the general public. Ability to make decisions in stressful situations. Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing. The ability to make warm, positive connections with residents, families, vendors, and team members is a must.Good physical health is verified by a health screening, including a tuberculosis screening by intradermal test or chest x-ray before employment.
