Lantern Government Solutions is seeking Anesthesiologists (Anesthesiology Physicians) for full-time contract opportunities in Buffalo, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for military spouses, dependents, veterans, or anyone interested in supporting the military healthcare system in a civilian capacity.
About the Role:
Administer anesthetics and analgesics for pain management prior to, during, or after surgery.
Daily responsibilities will include:

Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.

Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.

Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.

Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.

Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
Work Schedule:
7:00am-3:30pm weekdays with 4 on-call shifts required per month (3:30pm-7:00am). On-call shifts will be assigned on a rotating basis at least 3 weeks in advance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license (full and unrestricted) to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Board Certified / Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
- Eligible to work in federally funded health care programs.
- Completed an ACGME approved residency in Anesthesiology.
- Able to provide proof and/or pass required immunization, vaccination and infection control tests including tuberculosis, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, acellular pertussis, influenza, Covid-19 and Hepatitis B.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of relevant experience.
- Cardiac anesthesiologist experience with a completed one-year fellowship in cardiac anesthesiology and proficient with advanced echocardiography.
