Lantern Government Solutions is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (multiple openings) for a 13-week, renewable contract opportunity at the Lois M. DeBerry Special Needs Facility in Nashville, Tennessee. Provide care and nursing assistance to care for inmates in this male maximum-security prison. This is an excellent opportunity for military spouses, dependents, veterans, or anyone interested in supporting the military healthcare system in a civilian capacity.
About the Role:
The Lois M. DeBerry Special Needs Facility (DSNF) provides a number of services for the Department to offenders with multiple and complex medical problems, including acute and convalescent health care, intensive mental health intervention, three skilled nursing units in the Health Center to provide care for offenders recovering from surgery or serious illness, housing for offenders whose treatment regimen is not manageable at other TDOC facilities, inmates with long-term medical needs, and a community hospital to provide inpatient and outpatient care for the offender population in a designated secure area.
Your daily responsibilities may include:
- Assist with lifts and transfers
- Take vital signs
- Assist with meal feeding
- Clean personal care items, wheelchairs and closets
- Observe, interact, and provide consumer care as directed by RNs
- Report changes in consumer behavior to RNs/LPNs
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Provide progress notes and documentation as required
- Perform other related work as assigned
Work Schedule:
Full-time schedule created monthly. 3 shifts week 1 for 36 hours per week, 4 shifts week 2 for 48 hours per week. Shifts are 6:00am-7:00pm and 6:00pm-7:00am.
Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) registry - Tennessee
- BLS - AHA, ARC or Other
- Ability to clear facility security requirements
- 1 year of relevant corrections and/or psychiatric ward experience
