Lantern Government Solutions is seeking skilled CT Technologists for a full-time (40 hour per week) contract opportunity at the Iowa City VA Healthcare system. About the Role :
As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to obtain clear and accurate images that assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions.
Your daily responsibilities may include :
- Perform high-quality CT scans, following established protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and explain CT procedures to patients, answering any questions or concerns.
- Position patients appropriately to ensure optimal images while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Review images for quality and report any issues to radiologists or supervising staff.
- Assist in patient preparation, including administering contrast media as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and imaging procedures.
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Work Schedule :
Full-time, 40 hours per week scheduled within operating hours of 7 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m. This position does require scheduled on-call responsibilities.
