QUALIFICATIONS

The administrator shall meet either of the following qualifications : (1) The individual is licensed as a nursing home administrator under Chapter 4751. of the Revised Code; or (2) The individual meets one of the following criteria at the time of employment : (a) Has three thousand hours of direct operational responsibility for a senior housing facility, health care facility, residential care facility, adult care facility or any other group home licensed or approved by the state; (b) Has successfully completed one hundred credit hours of post high school education in the field of gerontology or health care; (c) Holds a baccalaureate degree; or (d) Is a licensed health professional as that term is defined in rule 3701-17-07.1 of the Administrative Code.

PAY : $55,000-62,000 / year

SCOPE : To lead and direct the overall operations of the facility in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and company policies with a focus on maintaining excellent care for our clients while achieving the facility’s business objectives.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Is able to handle multiple tasks at the same.

Stands, bends, lifts / carries various objects (paperwork, office / medical supplies etc.), or transfer clients and moves intermittently during working hours.

Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, and writing).

Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Is involved with clients, personnel, visitors, government agencies / personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.

Is subject to hostile and upset patients, family members, personnel and visitors.

May work beyond normal working hours when necessary.

Is subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday.

Is subjected to infections, waste, diseases, conditions, etc.

Must be able to sit at a desk / computer over prolonged periods and move intermittently throughout the day.

Must be able to speak and write the English language.

Must be able to cope with the physical, mental and emotional stress of the position.

Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics enabling these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.

Must be able to assists in the evacuation of clients in case of an emergency.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Ensure building and grounds are tour ready, odor free and clean at all times.

Educate and enforce Hospitality Par Excellence.

Develops a cohesive team consisting of heads of each dept. -Nursing, Team Lead, Dining services, Activities, Maintenance, and Marketing by leading, motivating and supporting staff in daily operation.

Encourage high standards of customer service with a proactive approach to avoid issues / complaints.

Supports a positive and professional image through leadership activities that emulate the organization’s mission statement and key cooperative initiatives and encourages a spirit of cooperation and teamwork to achieve established facility quality indicator, operational, retention and turnover standards.

Participates in the recruitment, interview and selection of personnel.

Reports to and advises CEO of any operational problems that may affect census, high customer standards.

Assigns sufficient number of staff in each department to ensure that direct nursing care can be provided by a licensed nurse, trained concierge / STNA qualified to perform the procedure.

Participates with accounts receivable transactions and takes necessary action due to non-payment.

Work with the Director of Nursing to ensure that LOC charges are correct and changes are communicated properly and timely.

Participates in personal and professional growth and development.

Complies with assigned budget.

Ensure IDT has tools and equipment needed to complete tasks timely.

Ensure interdepartmental team complies with their assigned budget (s) and allocated hours.

Complies with company’s policies and procedures as well as ensuring that the IDT members do the same.

Ensures Svayus protocols are being followed including music and aroma therapy, and activities.

Routinely review and update company policies and / or make recommendations to the CEO.

Communicate policy changes to the IDT.

Promotes and maintains an environment that is in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Ensure corrective actions are taken implemented if / when necessary.

Ensure inspection paperwork and certifications are maintained and up to date such as company bus, BWC, food license, ODH, elevator etc.

Ensure compliance of policies and procedures including completion of personnel files, appropriate allocation and use of benefits, completing time sheet requirements, assisting with orientation, ongoing training of personnel, verifying / updating licensure and other HR duties etc.

Coaches, counsels, evaluates and disciplines personnel when appropriate in a fair and consistent manner and as per company policies and procedures.

Participates in the planning, conducting and scheduling of timely training and continuing education classes.

Collaborates and participates with admission process.

Collaborates and participates with marketing functions such as open houses.

Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by personnel, clients, families, vendors and resolves within reasonable time frame.

Coordinate and ensure continuing education for clients in subjects including but not limited to Resident Rights, Fire safety, infection control and inclement weather.

Ensures OSHA and other safety standards are followed.

Investigate and ensure completion of proper documentation in regards to employee accidents and incidents.

Adheres to established HIPAA confidentiality standards.

Ensure emergency protocols are in place and ensure sufficient staff prepared to act accordingly.

Periodically review client medical records including nursing notes as necessary to ensure compliance is maintained.

Maintains current knowledge of leadership and management principles.

Complete reports per CEO requirements / requests.

Other duties / responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.

Active nursing license (RN / LPN)

CPR / FA

ServSafe certification

OALA administrator training.

Salary : $55,000 - $62,000
