Summary of role
The Inventory Controls and SOX Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory management processes within the organization. This hands-on role will ensure accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and will implement best practices to support efficient supply chain operations. The Inventory Controls Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing and Finance) to develop and enforce policies that enhance inventory accuracy and improve overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Inventory Management and Accuracy :
- Oversee daily operations to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting, utilizing SAP to maintain real time inventory tracking
- Management of expired material across internal warehouses, CMO's, 3PL's and Third-Party distributors
- Monthly CMO inventory reconciliations; investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Management of the cycle counting program : ensure regular cycle counts are conducted in a timely manner and errors investigated to meet compliance targets, ABC coding evaluated annually to reflect business need requirements, analyze hit % accuracy
- Conduct full physical inventory audits as needed to validate inventory control
- Develop and conduct inventory training periodically to the Tech Ops organization
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning on periodic ROP / Safety Stock analysis for security of supply, ensuring the ERP system is reflecting correct information
