Summary of role
We are seeking a seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Director of Medical Communications to lead this function within Medical Affairs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of scientific communication and publication strategies, ensuring the dissemination of high-quality and impactful scientific information to both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in medical communications, oncology and / or neurology. The Sr. Director will also sit on the Medical Affairs leadership team and manage a team of directors responsible for publications, scientific communications, and medical information.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Leadership and Strategy :
- Develop and execute the vision and expectations for the Medical Communications function across different therapeutic areas.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as an integral member of the Medical Affairs leadership team, contributing to the strategic planning, decision-making, and overall direction of the Medical Affairs department.
- Collaborate proactively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Public Relations, to ensure alignment and integration of scientific communication efforts.
- Champion the importance of high-quality scientific communications within the organization, positioning the company as a thought leader in oncology, neurology and radiotheranostics.
