Duties
- Place grocery department orders accurately and on-time.
- Control inventory levels such that there is plenty of product to sell between deliveries without over ordering.
- Communicate with sales representatives and vendors about inventory levels, new products, product replacements, pricing, and delivery schedules, signage and marketing to best sell their products.
- Execute plans to meet department sales goals.
- Verify deliveries and pricing to ensure department margins are maintained. Ensure all products are properly priced, tagged, and/or signed on the retail shelf.
- Plan and perform shelf resets within the department to support new or discontinued products.
- Research new products and popular trends that would grow sales for the department. Consistently work towards Lantman's Market's goal of providing more local, natural, and organic products for our customers.
- Maintain grocery department equipment and facilitate department cleaning.
- Train Center Store Associates.
- Accept and fulfill customer special orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
- Assist with stocking, cleaning, bagging, and cashiering tasks as needed.
- Manage Center Store associates to ensure the proper prioritization and completion of tasks.
- Opportunities to grow into a Store Manager on Duty for the store.
Qualifications .
- Retail management experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience ordering/buying in a grocery retail environment.
- Ability to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday on a weekly basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
