Lanza Law Firm, PC is a civil trial law firm serving the legal needs of businesses and individuals throughout the State of Texas. Our lawyers have over 300 years of combined litigation and civil trial courtroom experience. We are currently seeking a talented Defense Litigation Partner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on defense litigation cases, including drafting legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and other relevant documents.
- Assist in the preparation of discovery requests, responses, and motions.
- Manage and participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including conducting depositions, attending hearings, and representing clients in court proceedings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and provide recommendations.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
- Conduct factual investigations, interview witnesses, and gather evidence to support defense strategies.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents to ensure effective defense representation.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, including electronic documents and correspondence.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with the legal profession's code of conduct.
Requirements:
- Must have extensive first chair trial experience.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- 7 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably with a focus on insurance defense litigation.
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software.
- Strong oral advocacy skills and comfort with courtroom proceedings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
