Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Hardscaping Foreman to join our dynamic landscaping team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading hardscaping projects, including the installation of patios and retaining walls, with the ability to work unsupervised to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Supervise and direct a crew in all aspects of hardscaping projects from start to finish.
- Installation: Expertly install patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other hardscape features, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and compliance with design specifications.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, manage materials, and coordinate with other team members or subcontractors as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and company quality benchmarks.
- Safety: Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all crew members.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, changes, and final walkthroughs.
- Maintenance: Perform occasional maintenance checks and repairs on completed projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in hardscaping with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in the use of various construction tools and machinery relevant to hardscaping. Excavator and skid steer experience a must
- Strong understanding of landscape design and construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and landscape plans.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license; certifications in hardscaping or construction-related fields are advantageous.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams to successful project completion.
