Quality Technician.
Under the direction of the Quality Control/Continuous Improvement Manager, verify material type and thickness, perform, and qualify in-process inspections of products to verify they meet the requirements of drawings and specifications. Identify and report on machine programming, drawing or specification issues, help develop and identify areas of needed training, and process improvements within the manufacturing environment as part of our goal of the continuous improvement of our processes, people, and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Perform inspection of first piece in-process products ensuring conformance to specifications and drawings.
2. Incoming inspection/verification of purchased products/materials and finished goods ensuring conformance to order requirements, specifications, and drawings.
3. Do spot checks of In-Process Inspections on products ensuring conformance to specifications and drawings.
4. Qualify, approve materials and products for manufacturing.
5. Identify and report on machine programming issues.
6. Identify drawing and specification inaccuracies to customer requirements.
7. Assess and identify inefficiencies of the manufacturing processes or additional training that may be needed for employees for specific job functions or processes.
8. Perform internal random audits of manufacturing processes to procedures, work instructions and standard works.
When Assigned, Other Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support gauge calibration.
2. Train employees in the use of quality gauging tools.
3. Support the analysis of quality data to identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Help Investigate and implement corrective action related to product or process failure.
5. Support the completion of PPAP’s in accordance with defined customer expectations.
6. Interpret drawings, engineering specifications, work orders, production standards, and tolerances to determine product, customer, and internal expectations.
7. Recommend methods of fabrication, weld, paint, and assembly.
8. As part of the quality organization provide support to resolve product conformance and quality improvement opportunities.
Qualifications

* Knowledge of reading blueprints, drawing and specifications.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and specifications. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Other Qualifications Preferred
* Detail oriented and have excellent verbal, written, organizational, analytical, and PC skills.
* Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management system.
* Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA/PFMEA and APQP.
Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include calipers, dial indicators, paint film gauge, squares, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The position is primarily based on the production floor and QC Lab.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
