LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort is seeking an experienced Evening Manager on Duty to work at its beautiful 192 room, hotel and resort, located on the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico in Naples, Florida. The Evening Manager on Duty is responsible for overseeing the evening guest services and overall operations at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. This key leader will report directly to the Resort Manager and work closely with the Front Office Director and Director of Engineering. In the critical role, the Evening Manager on Duty will be responsible for insuring a safe and secure environment for guests by quickly resolving any guest concerns and handling complaints professionally and immediately.
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the evening Front Desk, Guest Services, & Security operations. Evening hours of operation consist of 3PM to 1AM.
- Responsible for front desk arrival experience during the evening hours including checking in guests and inspecting guest rooms as needed.
- Responsible for evening security officers.
- Inspecting guest room evening turndown service, engineering PM projects, vendor projects, and overnight cleaning company as needed.
- Responsible for managing any guest issues related to all aspects of the Resort Evening Operations including but not limited to, Front Desk, Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, Events, & F&B Outlets.
- Responsible for training and scheduling the security team to ensure the resort has optimal coverage during peak periods.
- Coordinate with team members on expectations, and assignments, including walking the entire resort nightly.
- Plan and supervise all training for security & PM front desk personnel.
- ·Document all concerns and submit MOD reports to leadership prior to end of shift via email.
- Contact leadership, on all urgent manners that impact the resorts’ ability to operate normally.
- Ensure all members of the security and PM front desk team adhere to company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain complete awareness of scheduled group activities and house count, hours of operation, facility layout, fire and emergency plans and departmental rules of conduct.
- Report any incidents to department leaders as they pertain to their department and human resources if it involves an employee incident.
- Investigates complaints timely and document findings by using tools provided.
- Issue and coordinate operations for radios, master keys, hard keys, and access keys to designated personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the safekeeping of records.
- Ensure all non-hotel guests and personnel are in designated areas.
- Provide escorts for employees if needed.
- Ensure that after-hours access into secured hotel areas is properly authorized, monitored and documented.
- Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points.
- Resolve any safety hazard situations immediately, or secure area until resolution to ensure guest/employee safety.
- Ensure all guest room doors are secure and assist with room access.
- Investigate suspicious people on hotel property and if necessary, work with police.
- Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, and other guest complaints.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Security and hotel reports/documents.
Additional functions:
- Assist with escorting group/event guests and restaurant guests from one building to another safely.
- Oversee valet operations in the evening for optimal operating and safe procedures.
- Optimize conservation of energy during low periods of guest occupancy and employee operations.
Education & Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in hospitality guest services/front desk management
- 2 years’ experience in a security leadership role
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings/nights.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate in English, required, Spanish and Creole a plus.
- Ability to use computers including front desk systems.
Physical Demands
