The JOB:
Stockroom Associate - part-time
As a member of the LaPlaya Boutique, the Stockroom Associate is responsible for maintaining an organized stockroom, managing inventory, and supporting sales associates on the boutique floor. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent service by accurately retrieving and restocking merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise in the stockroom. Ensure accurate product labeling.
- Stockroom Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment. Arrange products systematically for easy accessibility.
- Merchandise Restocking: Assisting in restocking the sales floor as needed, ensuring popular items are replenished promptly.
- Sales Support: Provide support to sales associates by retrieving requested items promptly and accurately.
- Product Knowledge: Become familiar with the products and inventory locations to quickly fulfill requests and assist with product inquiries.
- General Assistance: Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor, including helping on the sales floor during busy periods or special events.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
· Prior retail or stockroom experience preferred but not required.
. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
. Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attentional detail required.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
. Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
