What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security and Safety Officer - 3:30 AM to 1:00 PM position at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, a Noble House Resort?
Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the safety of the hotel and ensuring a that environment for guests/members and team members is one that is secure.
Essential Functions:
- Review department log records
- Walk the entire hotel, including the Gulf Tower, Beach House, Bay Tower and Parking Garage, checking stairwells, and common areas for any concerns that need repair.
- Notify Director of Engineering of any deficiencies that need immediate attention, and other potential hazards during morning meeting.
- Maintain complete awareness of scheduled group activities and house count, hours of operation, facility layout, fire and emergency plans and departmental rules of conduct
- Report any incidents to department leaders as it pertains to their department
- Investigates complaints relative to Safety
- Issue radios, beepers, keys to designated personnel
- Complete accurate reports for incidents, and inspections
- Ensure all non-hotel personnel are properly escorted while on property
- Provide escorts for employees if requested
- Ensure that after hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented
- Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken
- Resolve any safety hazard situations
- Ensure all guests/member room doors are secured and assist with room access
- Investigate suspicious persons on hotel property, and if necessary contact the authorities
- Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, and other guest complaints
- Maintain confidentiality of all Security and hotel reports/documents
