LaPlaya is #nowhiring Skilled Line Cooks (All Levels) for our outlets : Fine Dining, Banquets and Tiki.
R ate of pay based on skills and experience : From $19.00 - $24.00 per hour based on skills.
Sign on Bonus : $500.00 / Paid out at $200 at 30 days and $300 at 90 days. Must be actively employed at the time of payment.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.

The JOB : COOK / Line Cooks Levels (All Levels)
We are looking for Line Cooks to join the Culinary Team at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. We currently have multiple opportunities open at our F&B outlets. If you are skilled cook with a passion for providing an excellent dining experience for guests, then we want to speak with you!
Requirements
Must be able to :
- Set up work station with required tools, equipment and supplies
- Maintain and strictly abide to sanitation and health regulations
- Check production schedule and pars
- Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas
- Start prep work and production of items needed for the day
- Assists in the prep of soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, salads, and baked goods
- Clean and prepare fruits and vegetables
- Ice down seafood in accordance to procedures
- Produce salads, fruit / vegetable / cheese / meet trays and centerpieces for banquets and buffets
- Preps and executes well-balanced and appealing employee meals
- Prepare amenity orders for Room Service
- Prepare and produce cold menu items for designated F&B outlets
- Prepare all dishes following recipe and yield guides
- Inform Sous Chef on any shortages
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Bring all dirty pots and pans to the pot wash station
- Break down work station and complete closing procedures
- Wrap, cover, vent, and label / date all food items being stored
- Maintains cleanliness and complies with proper food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Maintain a complete knowledge of the menu items and specials to ensure the best product is being served to the guests
- Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitization of work areas and kitchen equipment
