Guest Service Reps/Front Desk greet guests, assists them with check-ins and check-outs, registers and assigns rooms, issues room keys/cards, transmits and receives messages, keeps records of occupied rooms and guest accounts, makes and confirms reservations, presents statement to departing guests. Answer phone calls. Assist guests with issues as needed. Collecting payment at time of arrival.
We are looking for candidates who have a contagious smile and a positive attitude; who are reliable, flexible, detail-oriented, accountable, and have a strong work ethic. You must be passionate about guest satisfaction and take pride in your accomplishments to be a successful member of our team.
This is a part-time position that will work into a full time position. The shifts are, 7am - 3pm, 3pm -11pm and 11pm - 7am. Being able to work weekends and holidays is a must. Schedule may include weekends and holidays, as we are open 365 days a year. Schedule may include more than one shift, e.g. 2 morning shifts and 1 evening shift.
Overnight and morning shifts are required to handle breakfast Monday - Friday.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
- Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
- Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints.
- Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy.
- Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during shift.
- Maintains accurate records including cash flows, registration cards, reservation cards, and property walks.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and travel directions.
- Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager.
- Offers and properly handles requests for wake-up calls.
- Records pertinent guest information in the pass on log.
- Assist in replenishing continental breakfast as needed and keeping breakfast area clean Monday - Friday. (Will have to have or get a food handlers card)
- Ensures common area/lobby is clean.
- Performs laundry functions as directed, when needed.
- Other duties assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, & CERTIFICATION

- Previous hospitality industry experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential.
